Monstrous meat cores

Planets which host life are all vulnerable to celestial infections which can infect all life within it. These parasitic entities act like a hive mind which consumes everything it touches. Once one of these infections comes into contact with a planet it is already too late. Even then these calamities bring with them great opportunities for class three civilizations. For these infections, if used correctly can be used to terraform whole planets in a matter of a few months, or even just harvesting the mountains of meat that these infections tend to create can be extremely beneficial. With every calamity new opportunities arise.
