Fading memories
Memories just like everything else slowly fades away and are lost to time. They slowly come fuzzier and fuzzier until they are completely forgotten or become a distorted version of themselves. That’s why so many people keep old things or pictures, to remember and to hopefully preserve their memories in a physical form. But even those will someday fade away. Pictures lose color and rot, the metal of that old watch that you own will rust or be molten into something completely different. Things end and transform, our bodies die and become fertilizer and worm food. Dead stars may become planets or wonderful nebulas. Everything gives birth to something else when it dies. It is in a way a form of reincarnation. Death and rebirth, cycles repeating over and over again ad infinitum.
