Even gods can suffer the consequences of their actions. These consequences can range from destruction to eternal imprisonment. There are entire universes dedicated to containing some of them. Because some of these gods can tie their own essence to the essence of their creations and thus destroying them would entail destroying an unimaginable amount of lifeforms just to punish their creator.
